Good morning Johnson Laners.

It has been a bit, but it has been rather quiet in our Banana Flats. Painted Rock is still grinding along although AJ has been sending regular updates. There hasn’t been anything significant to report on that controversy.

Social media has been a buzz about what is being built at the Johnson Lane Park. I was at the community center a few weeks ago and an unnamed employee at the counter caught the Parks Superintendent at the desk and posed the question. He stated they were building a shop for the parks staff to park their mowers and other equipment. Great idea as it will reduce them from having to load and unload the equipment every week. The location is directly east of the second driveway if you haven’t been by the park lately.

The annual Boy Scout show will continue this year with a change in sponsorship. It will now be sponsored by the Northern Nevada Inliners club. Al and Vicki Jewell are the coordinators and have asked me to pass the following information to you.

We have had one heck of a winter. I lost all our moon brooms and our large evergreen due to snow damage. Guess that gives us an excuse to redesign our landscaping. I finally get to see the boulders I paid for 20 years ago! We will be putting in a nice dogwood, some snowball and burning bushes along with some Lilacs to replace the moon brooms. Everything has grown so much this season.

Enjoy the heat while you can Christmas is just six months away.

Thank you for sharing a few moments with me.
