Not one, not two, but three little therapy pigs visited The Chateau at Gardnerville to see the residents on May 4. The pigs belong to a community friend, Mr. Valeriu Monchamp.

In the past, Monchamp has brought baby goats, kittens, puppies, chicks, and even a seven-month old camel.

“It is safe to say that the residents at The Chateau were thrilled to pet and love on their latest visitors,” said Executive Director Katie Nichols.

The Chateau was named one of the best for assisted living in Nevada in a survey conducted by U.S. News & World Report

“Receiving this award is a huge honor,” said Nichols. “We will continue to serve the residents of The Chateau with utmost kindness and integrity, as well as our employees and families who put their trust in us."
