Elks deliver Meneley cards to veterans

The Tahoe-Douglas Elks recently delivered Veteran thank-you cards to Veterans who are hospitalized at the Reno VA Hospital.

The “Thank you for your service” cards were hand drawn by the students at Meneley Elementary School in Gardnerville Ranchos.

The school makes cards three times a year on Veterans Day, Valentine’s Day and Memorial Day.

Tahoe Douglas Elks have a close relationship with the school.

For the last 10 years the Elks has provided the school kids winter clothes, books, and supplies. And this past year the Elks also supported the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math program with Project hardware and volunteers to help execute the projects.
