Pancakes, bacon and eggs are going on the grill in Johnson Lane for the annual Johnson Lane Volunteer Fire Department’s Father’s Day Breakfast.
The annual fundraiser is 8 a.m. to noon today at the fire station, located at 1450 Stephanie Way.
Breakfast is $10 for people 13 and older and $5 for those 12 and younger.
In addition to breakfast, there is a silent auction and raffle on the menu.
Founded in 1973, the volunteer fire department is celebrating its 50th year.
Work on the Stephanie Way Station 6 started in 1975 and was completed in 1976 on a 5-acre parcel the volunteers obtained from the Bureau of Land Management.
The firehouse is not occupied full time, but does house Tender 6, which East Fork Fire Protection District regularly calls on to battle wildfires in the Pine Nuts above the community.
