The mother of two children arrested last week for allegedly keeping a drug house is scheduled to appear in East Fork Justice Court today.

On Friday, Janie Michelle Phillips’ bail was set at $100,000 bail after prosecutors alleged that she sold drugs at a youth soccer game and involved them in sales.

Phillips, 35, works as an administrative assistant for the state of Nevada, according to attorney Brian Filter, who was representing her at a bail hearing on Friday afternoon.

He said she had never been arrested in seeking either an own recognizance release or a reduction in her bail to $5,000 bondable.

Prosecutor Charles Odgers argued against a bail reduction, saying there’s evidence Phillips conducted a drug deal at a youth soccer game and her daughter was present at four drug sales.

“She is at a high risk to go to prison if convicted,” Odgers said.

Justice of the Peace Steve McMorris set a hearing for today.

Phillips’ significant other Luke did not appear in court on Friday. He was arrested on June 14 and made bail soon after on charges of possession of drugs and paraphernalia.

A grandmother arrested in a separate drug raid appeared to be in pain as she appeared virtually before McMorris from the Douglas County Jail on Friday.

Carrie Sue Rhodehouse, 51, is accused of conducting five separate drug sales from a home at 735 Lassen Way, which is within 1,000 feet of Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School.

Her bail was reduced to $50,000 cash or bond on Friday morning.

A 52-year-old man, who was living in the home was ordered released on his own recognizance.

A charge of being an ex-felon who failed to register against Jason Dennis MeGee was dropped. MeGee’s felony was overturned earlier this year, Odgers said. MeGee still faces drug possession charges in the case.

Members of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Street Enforcement Team, the Tri-Net Task Force and investigators served search warrants at an apartment on Stodick Parkway in Gardnerville and a home on Lassen Way in the Gardnerville ranchos in two separate drug cases.

The presence of children in the homes resulted in child abuse or neglect counts in addition to drug possession and sales.

Phillips and Reeves were arrested in the Gardnerville apartment, while Rhodehouse and MeGee were at the Lassen address.
