After 30 years working for Community Services and its predecessor, Director Scott Morgan will fill in as interim assistant county manager while the county looks for a replacement for Jenifer Davidson, who moved up a notch to county manager.
Morgan, who may well retire next year, took the job last week.
“Scott Morgan has a wealth of institutional knowledge that will assist the County during its transition in leadership,” Davidson said. “We’re honored to have Scott serve in this capacity and I am confident his experience with the county team, our community, and our stakeholders will set the stage for the new, permanent assistant county manager.”
During Morgan’s tenure, he has overseen the construction of four award-winning community parks, two nationally recognized community multi-generational centers, a nationally recognized skate park, a disc-golf course, a historic working ranch, and a shooting facility.
Assistant Community Services Director Brook Adie will serve as the community services director. These appointments will last through the transition of selecting a permanent replacement assistant county manager.
