Request for Qualifications, Legal Counsel
The Gardnerville Ranchos General
Improvement District (GRGID) is requesting
proposals from qualified firms of Nevada
licensed attorneys to provide legal services to
the District. All proposals must be received
by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2023,
at the District’s offices at 931 Mitch Drive,
Gardnerville, NV 89460.
Each proposal must be submitted to the
District’s offices in a sealed envelope plainly
marked with the proposal title and submitter’s
name. Submit the standard hourly billing
rates in a separate sealed envelope at
the same time as a companion document
to the proposal. There is no express or
implied obligation for GRGID to reimburse
responding firms for any expenses incurred
in preparing proposals in response to this
request. Applications submitted in response
to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) will
be reviewed by a team consisting of District
representatives. The team will review all
complete, eligible qualification submittals
received by the deadline. Upon evaluating the
qualifications provided in the applications, the
team may identify top firms to be invited for
finalist interviews.
In addition to providing legal representation
on matters ranging from water rights,
governmental issues, personnel matters,
sewer collections, storm drains, project
management, contractual matters, parks, and
streets; the selected attorney will be expected
to attend the District’s Board of Trustees’
meetings which usually occur monthly on the
first Wednesday of each month and any other
special meetings as scheduled.

GRGID has had a single legal representative
for the past 40 years. All historical legal files
from that General Counsel will be provided to
the successful firm. GRGID Board of Trustees
will select the firm that best meets our needs
for ongoing legal representation.
