One person was killed and another transported to Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center after a Monday afternoon single vehicle rollover closed the northbound lanes of Highway 395.
A white sedan was off the north side of the highway pointed south where it appeared to have collided with a power pole.
The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating the collision that was reported at 12:46 p.m.
One northbound lane of Highway 395 reopened around 4 p.m. as investigators from the highway patrol examine the scene.
A street sign was laying on the ground behind the vehicle, indicating it rolled north.
A dog at the scene was taken by Douglas County Animal Control.
Douglas County deputies and East Fork medics responded to the collision, along with NV Energy and the Nevada Department of Transportation.
Northbound traffic was diverting down Grant Avenue and onto Carrick to get to Service Drive and return to the highway.
