Update: NVroads.com shows that Highway 395 is no longer closed.

According to the site, which was updated at 4:04 p.m. "Traffic hazard on US-395 Both Directions from Highland Way to Leviathan Mine Rd. Lane Alternating."

The Holbrook Junction camera shows water and mud still flowing from Highland Way alongside the highway.

Mud over the roadway closed Highway 395 between Leviathan Mine Road and Holbrook Junction around 10 a.m. Friday.

Snow melting off the Pine Nut Mountains resulted in flooding down Highland Way onto the highway.

Douglas County deputies escorted school buses through the closure from Leviathan Mine Road to Holbrook so South County students could make it home.

As of 10 a.m., Centerville, East Valley and Buckeye roads are closed across the Valley.

Traffic continues to flow normally between Minden and Carson City.

Highway 395 crosses the Carson River at Cradlebaugh and hasn’t closed due to high water since February 2017.

The East Fork of the Carson River at Horseshoe Bend reached 12.74 feet at 9:35 a.m. but appears to have crested, so far. Forecasts were that it would reach 13.1 feet by 10 p.m. The river appears to have crested at 6.08 feet at the confluence with Markleeville Creek.

The West Fork at Woodfords appears to have crested at 10.59 feet short of the 11.3 feet and well below the action stage of 12.5 feet.

The snow level dropped to 6,800 feet which may have turned off the tap to the bigger source of meltwater this morning. 

A flood advisory is in effect through 11 a.m. Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. A wind advisory will continue until 7 p.m. tonight.

Minden received 1.52 inches of rain, according to R-C weather watcher Stan Kapler.

Markleeville reported 2.8 inches of rain over 24 hours.

Telemetry at Burnside Lake reported 9 inches of new snow over the same period of time.

High profile vehicles were prohibited from Interstate 580 through Washoe Valley.

Carson Valley resident Ursula McManus reported a wind gust of 116 mph around 8:45 a.m. at their home just west of Highway 88.

One of the windiest spots in the Valley, an NV Energy gauge recorded a 67 mph gust around 8:20 a.m.

Two dozen Gardnerville residents were without power in a series of outages between 8 and 9 a.m., according to NVEnergy.com
