NOTICE OF HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that JOSEPH MICHAEL MARY BENNETT, JR., Personal Representative of the Estate of JOSEPH MICHAEL MARY BENNETT, has filed in this Court a VERIFIED PETITION FOR PROBATE OF ESTATE AND FOR ISSUANCE OF LETTERS OF ADMINISTRATION WITH AUTHORIZATION TO ADMINISTER THE ESTATE UNDER THE INDEPENDENT ADMINISTRATION OF ESTATE ACT WITH FULL AUTHORITY, and a hearing has been set for the 8th day of May, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. in Department No. II, at the courthouse of the above-entitled court located at 1038 Buckeye Road, Minden, Nevada, County of Douglas. All persons interested in the estate are notified to appear and show cause why the Petition should not be granted.
The petition requests authority to administer the estate under the Independent Administration of Estates Act. This will avoid the need to obtain court approval for many actions taken in connection with the estate. However, before taking certain actions, the Personal Representative will be required to give notice to interested persons unless they have waived notice or have consented to the proposed action. Independent administration authority will be granted unless good cause is shown why it should not be.
