An 83-year-old Sheridan man was found with a head injury on Friday morning.

Searchers found him behind a home under construction about a half-mile from where he was last seen on Reflection Court.

Reports from the scene were that he was conscious and breathing, but that the injury may be severe.

The base of Kingsbury Grade was shut down around 9:30 a.m. to land a Care Flight helicopter to transport him to Renown Regional Medical Center. East Fork medics transported him to the scene.

Douglas County Sheriff’s Search & Rescue along with Washoe County’s Hasty team responded to Sheridan to look for the man.

A drone was deployed to look for him.

Richard Turissini was last seen 7:30 p.m. Thursday near Reflection Court just north of Foothill and Centerville Lane.

“Richard has medical conditions that limit his ability to be on his own,” according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. “Richard doesn’t speak and hear very well.”

Turissini is 5-feet, 10-inches tall, weighs 150 pounds with gray hair and a light beard, wearing glasses, a blue checked shirt, dark pants and shoes and a Reno Aces hat.

Anyone seeing Turissini is urged to call 911.
