Public Hearing
A meeting of the Douglas County Board of Commissioners will be held on November 16, 2023 at 10:00 am, in the Douglas County Commissioner Meeting Room at the Historic Courthouse, 1616 Eighth Street, Minden. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to: take items in a different order; combine two or more agenda items for consideration; remove items from the agenda; and/or delay discussions relating to an item on the agenda at any time. For Possible Action. For discussion and possible action on DP23- 0212 Redhawk Lane Lot 1 Acquisition and Flood Mitigation. Discussion on (1) approve in principal the Vacant Land Offer and Acceptance Agreement located at 1766 Redhawk Lane (APN: 1220-02-001-031); and (2) authorize the County Manager to the sign closing documents as may be necessary for the sale of said property; and (3) authorize the County Manager to sign a separate contract with a consulting engineer for the final design and permitting efforts for the flood control basin on said property so long as the total amount expended does not exceed the budget of $525,000 available under 24D01.0107 for land acquisition and design; and finally (4) approve the modification of the Conservation Easement created under Document #2007-708547 contingent upon close of escrow on aforementioned property by Douglas County allowing the flood control pond to be constructed and maintained and expanding the area of the easement to cover the entire parcel.
