A Lake Tahoe man faces 35 years to life in prison on three felony charges of sexual abuse of a child.

Zachary R. Nance admitted to the charges in Douglas County District Court on Monday.

Nance was arrested in December 2022 after the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant in the 400 block of McFaul Way in Round Hill where he was part of an investigation into allegations of lewd acts with a child in 2017.

Nance is being charged with abuse of a minor, sexual assault of a child under 16, possession of visual conduct with a child under 16 and lewdness with a child under 14 years old.

According to court documents, Nance committed lewd and sexual acts with a child between 2017 and 2022.

Nance was remanded into custody after the hearing pending sentencing, which is now set for Jan. 22.

• An East Valley man is facing child pornography charges after he was arrested on Oct. 20 during the service of a search warrant on his home.

Dana Kevin Pascoe, 59, is listed as a Tier 3 sex offender on the Nevada registry.

He was allegedly caught looking at pictures of children at his workplace.

A few days later he brought in a laptop that was found to contain photos and he was reported.

• A man who returned a television with a memory stick containing what prosecutors say were hundreds of photos depicting 6-10-year-old children is scheduled for a federal trial in January.

Daniel William Phillips, 62, was arrested June 1, 2022, on multiple charges after nearly 900 printed images were allegedly found in manilla envelopes and binders.

• A man who allegedly groped one of the actors at a Gardnerville haunted house is facing felony lewdness charges.

A $125,000 bail was set for a Minden man accused of groping one of the young actors.

Jason Michael Breidenbach, 46, was reportedly intoxicated when he allegedly touched a 13-year-old girl and tried to take off her mask.

According to prosecutor Chelsea Mazza, Breidenbach has prior felony convictions out of Wisconsin and was in court on Oct. 2 because he failed to register as an ex-felon.

He is scheduled to appear in East Fork Justice Court on Nov. 29.
