Douglas County Rodeo sees full house over two days

The Douglas County Fairgrounds had its stands filled during the two day rodeo show Friday and Saturday.

The Douglas County Rodeo was brought to Douglas in 2021 by Bailey Sanchez, Justin Schlag and Brooke Sullivan with the intention of creating a family-friendly event while enjoying local rodeo talent.

On Saturday, the event started off with Morgan Peterson singing the National Anthem and motorcross freestyle tricks from FMX Ramp-Age.

The two hour Rodeo show was complete with mutton busters, rope tricks and horse tricks, barrel racing, roping and bull riders.

Food Trucks and vendors also provided food, drinks and shopping from Douglas County Rodeo Merchandise, Between Horses and Humans, Big O Tires, Cowboy Fresh, High Desert Customz, Sierra Sage Co. and more.

Fireworks and concerts followed featuring Jenna Paulette and Matt Stell who replaced Easton Corbin, after he announced a medical emergency.
