A Gardnerville Ranchos man is hoping to raise $5,000 to replace the tools stolen from his mobile repair and plumbing business on the night of Sept. 14.

Tor Meier’s Mobile RV PhD was burglarized and while the insurance will pay for equipment, the tools are only covered for a few hundred dollars.

“"All of my work tools were stolen. Plumbing supplies were stolen," Meier wrote on GoFundMe. "They even stole my collections of screws, bolts, electrical fasteners, and an assortment of tools I inherited from my grandfather which were very dear to me."

Meier supports himself and his 2-year-old daughter and he’s tried to borrow from friends and families, there isn’t enough to come close to what he needs.

Meier filed a report with the Sheriff’s Office, and the deputies working the case suggested he reach out on GoFundMe.

As of Friday morning he’s raised $3,125 of the total amount.
