A 3D Pen Art Program for adults is 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at the Douglas County Public Library in Minden. Registration is not required. Children are allowed to participate if they are accompanied by an adult. The library will provide 3D pens, plastic filament, tutorials, and templates. The 3D Pen Art Program is sponsored by The Friends of the Douglas County Public Library.

• Bring the family in their pajama finery and come down to the Library’s Meeting Room to hear the story styling of Ms. Ava for bedtime stories, songs, games, and more. Pajama Party Storytime is 5:30 p.m. every fourth Monday of the month starting next week for children ages 6 and up. Pajamas, slippers, and stuffed animals are recommended.

• “Talk to Me” (R), starring Sophie Wilde, Zoe Terakes, Miranda Otto, and Joe Bird will be shown 10:30 a.m. Oct. 7 at the Minden Branch. 

“The Boogeyman” (PG-13), starring Sophie Thatcher, Chris Messina, David Dastmalchian, and Vivien Lyra Blair will be shown Oct. 21. 

Movie showings are sponsored by the Friends of the Douglas County Public Library.

• Starting in October, Science Club will begin meeting 4:30–5:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month at the Minden Library. 

Science Club is intended for children in 3rd-5th grades, but younger children may attend. Children will participate in hands-on learning and experimentation with lessons focusing on practical lab experiments. All supplies are provided. This program is free and no registration is required.
