The installation of the light at Highway 50 and Warrior Way occurred this morning, though it won’t be activated for a little while. On-highway parking between Warrior Way and Zephyr Cove Resort has been removed.

The Quarry Fire near Strawberry is up to 3,368 acres, almost doubling since Wednesday. Air quality is dropping into the moderate range this morning as smoke and haze continue to drift into the Valley.

Otherwise, expect sunny skies and a high near 78 degrees. The wind will pick up out of the northwest to 5 mph in the afternoon.
