A spot along Pine Nut Creek upstream from Fish Springs recorded .45 inches of rain from a thunderstorm that made its way up the Pine Nuts on Tuesday evening. Fredericksburg resident Jeff Garvin said he had a half-dozen strikes on his lightning detector.
