Work on Highway 395 through Gardnerville has taken another jump to the left (if you’re southbound) as paving continues.

Traffic will shift to the northbound lanes today with nighttime paving closing several side streets.

According to Friday’s notice from the Nevada Department of Transportation, First Street, Mono Avenue, County Road, Cemetery Lane, Mill Street, High School Street, Eddy Street and Douglas Avenue will close tonight.

Waterloo Lane and Centertowne Drive will be closed at 6 p.m.

Gilman Avenue and Kingslane will experience short closures tonight as workers continue to put the finishing touches on paving.

Construction has been shifting the lanes on Gardnerville’s Main Street as workers lay down layers of paving between First Street in Minden and Waterloo Lane in Gardnerville.

Work on the project is expected to continue through the next few weeks, although it appears as though it might be quite close to being done.
