Master Gardeners at library on Monday

Coming to the Minden Library 5:30–6:30 p.m. Monday, the Douglas County Public Library is partnering with UNR Extension Horticulture Outreach Program and Master Gardeners for a one hour Q&A session about gardening.

Additional sessions are Sept. 9 and Oct. 21.

Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult.

• The Douglas County Public Library hosts the Adult Crafters’ Club on the third Wednesday of every month. Adults looking for a creative outlet are invited to come to the Minden library where we will have a fun arts and crafts project to try. This month they will be working on painted tile coasters on 4-6 p.m. Aug. 21.

No reservations are required. This program is intended for adults 18+. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Douglas County Public Library.

• “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” (PG-13) starring Rachel Zegler, Tom Blyth, and Hunter Schafer will be shown 10:30 a.m. Aug. 24 at the Minden Branch. This movie is 165 minutes long.

“The Boys in the Boat” (PG-13) starring Hadley Robinson, Joel Edgerton, and Callum Turner will be shown Aug. 31. This movie is 123 minutes long.

“The Fall Guy” (PG-13) starring Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson will be shown on Sept. 21. This movie is 114 minutes long.

“Napoleon” (R), starring Joaquin Phoenix, Vanessa Kirby, and Rupert Everettwill be shown on Sept 28. This movie is 158 minutes long.
