Genoa, Nev. — A reader sent a photo of a dead goose floating in Gardnerville’s Mountain View Pond on Friday. He reported seeing seven of them dead or dying. I’ve reached out to state and federal wildlife agencies to see if I can find out more.
A deputy reported beavers are “causing mayhem” prompting a report of a road hazard for slick conditions in the eastbound lanes at Highway 50 and Lake Village at 4:38 p.m. today.
The National Weather Service issued a third freezing fog advisory for the third morning in a row. I don’t see any fog in the Valley this morning, but there could be some along the river.
There aren’t any road controls in the region reported at nvroads.com this morning, but wherever there’s water on the road, there could also be ice, so please be careful.

The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and a high temperature of 51 degrees. It’s going to get a little warmer through the week with a strong inversion and not much wind.
