With the official opening of Carson Valley Health’s expansion today, the Emergency Room entrance is shifting to the other side of the campus.
“Patients will still turn from Virginia Ranch Road into the eastern parking area,” Spokeswoman Heidi Saucedo said. “The new entrance is on the southeast side of the building, past the Rehabilitation and Outpatient Therapy Center. Signage will lead the way to help during this transition.”
Saucedo said access to all other hospital departments through the main hospital entrance facing Highway 395.
“There is a new traffic pattern inside the main hospital with the opening of the new Intensive Care Unit, Inpatient Unit, Surgery and Imaging departments,” she said. “These departments are now situated on the south side of the hospital.”
Signage and volunteers will be in place to help guide patients. All patients will check in directly with the department where they are receiving services.
