Genoa, Nev. — I have it on good authority that the East Fork Fire Protection District Board of Trustees offered Carson City Deputy Chief Alan Ernst the chief’s position on Tuesday morning. I’m in the process of verifying that today.
Planning commissioners voted in favor of recommending two ordinances on Tuesday regarding the Tahoe Area Plan Regulations. County commissioners still have to approve the ordinances.
A master plan amendment and zone map change were recommended by the Planning Commission on a five-acre parcel behind the Hajoca Plumbing Store in Minden, 6-1 with Mark Neddenriep the lone nay vote.
PulsePoint is reporting a collision on Centerville Lane just west of Highway 88 around 10:24 p.m. Monday. I don’t have any further information besides that East Fork spent 40 minutes at the scene.
We might see some precipitation after midnight tonight with a third of an inch of snow forecast for 5-10 a.m. Thursday. There’s not a lot of moisture associated with this front, but then again there hasn’t been much moisture so far in December.
We’re looking at partly sunny skies with a high temperature of 57 degrees and the wind out of the southeast at 5 mph shifting southeast this afternoon.
