Minden Gardnerville Sanitation District Trustee Raymond Wilson attended his final meeting on Dec. 3.
He wrapped up 36 years of public service to the community.
Wilson and his wife moved to Minden nearly 44 years ago.
He immediately became interested in the local and grassroots government.
In 1984, Wilson was elected to the Minden Town Board. He was re-elected five more times and term-limited out in 2008.
Wilson said he enjoyed working with the other four Board members Bruce Jacobsen, Ross Chichester, Dave Sheets, and Bob Hadfield for 24 years. Wilson was elected trustee of the Minden Gardnerville Sanitation District and attended his last meeting this month when he was term-limited out.
He said in his 36 years of service he has always been mindful of the expectations of the citizens of Minden and Gardnerville.
“It has been my privilege to serve and my pleasure and joy to work with the citizens of Minden and Gardnerville these last 36 years,” he said. “I wish all the citizens of Minden and Gardnerville a very happy and healthy year ahead.”
