Douglas High School alumna and Olympic bronze medalist Krysta Palmer has qualified to compete for Team USA at the upcoming U.S. Olympic Trials after taking fourth place at the World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar earlier this week.

Palmer and teammate Alison Gibson were fourth in the women’s synchronized 3-meter with a score of 279.30.

The result secured a quota spot for Team USA to compete in the event.

It was the first international competition for the pairing since the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo (held in 2021 due to COVID-19).

The 2024 U.S Olympic Team trials will be held at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center in Knoxville, Tennessee in June.

The 2024 Olympics begin July 26 in Paris.
