Applications open today at www.douglascountynv.gov for anyone seeking to participate in the Douglas County Community Grant Program.

A webinar for those wishing to participate is Tuesday, according to coordinator Debbie Swickard. Email dswickard@douglasnv.us to obtain information on how to participate in the webinar.

Swickard reminded those interested that applications and documentation submitted for the grant cycle will become public record, though federal income tax returns will remain confidential.

The deadline to submit complete applications is March 29.

“Please be advised that due to limited funding, some applicants will only receive partial funding,” according to the county. “Each applicant is strongly encouraged to review the attached evaluation criteria while preparing the grant application.”

Agencies that have submitted grant applications by the deadline are invited to attend the Audit Committee meeting when community grant recommendations are discussed, deliberated and announced as well as the county commissioners’ meeting where the resolution is adopted, and certificates are presentation to grantees.

For updates, visit www.douglascountynv.gov/communitygrant for real time updates on the process and the dates of the Board meetings. The deadline to submit grants is March 29.

Applications may be submitted via email at Community_Grant@douglasnv.us or by mail at PO Box 218, Minden, NV 89423. Those wishing to hand deliver applications may drop them off at the Douglas County Manager’s Office in the Minden Inn.
