Tahoe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus kicks off its 18th annual WinterFest with the “BRRRoque Masters” concert series Jan. 6-14. The concert series is dedicated to the memory of Mark Lord, the symphony’s principal trumpet player from 2007 to 2014.
The orchestra is 6:30 p.m. Jan. 10 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1480 Douglas Ave. in Gardnerville.
The program opens with Vivaldi’s masterful Concerto in D minor RV 535 for flute and oboe, performed by Allison Smith and Rebecca Mueller, followed by Handel’s Organ Concerto Op. 4 No. 3 performed by David Brock, and finishes with J.S. Bach’s Cantata No. 51 Jauchzet Gott in Allen Landen performed by soprano Anne Davidson and baroque trumpet William Cates. Other pieces on the program include Vivaldi’s Spring Concerto from the Four Seasons, performed by concertmaster Eleanor Sturm, and his concerto for Four Violins, with Lee Miles, Ondine Parker and Trudy Gonzales as soloists.
The concert concludes with the finale from Handel’s Opera “Samson” Let the Bright Seraphim, performed by coloratura soprano, Anne Davidson.
Concert performances will be conducted by Maestro James Rawie.

Tickets will also be available at the door 30 minutes prior to the concert.
General admission is $30 for adults and $25 for 65 and older. Young persons, under age 23 (with ID), enjoy free admission. Premium seating is $50 adults, $45 for seniors (65+) and Youth (Under 23 with ID) is $25. Preferred seating is $40 for adults, $35 for seniors (65+), and Youth (Under 23 with ID) is $15. Tickets are also available at the door 30 minutes prior to the concert if not sold out.
