Vehicles are having trouble staying on their wheels up at Highway 50, with a Toyota 4Runner on its roof in Glenbrook Canyon at 1:55 p.m. and a pickup on its side around 10:20 a.m. That’s just two hours after another wreck at Lake Shore and 50 at around 8:20 a.m.

According to the forecast, Western Nevada will be rain-shadowed out in this storm with just a smidge of rain forecast for Minden. Any precipitation will be light with maybe 2-6 inches of snow above 8,000 feet.
Any rain that turns up will be after 4 p.m. with the snow level going from 4,800 to 7,000 feet this afternoon, according to the forecast. Otherwise it looks like we’ll have partly sunny skies and a high of 49 degrees, and a west wind at 5 mph.
