Two Californians facing charges in connection with the seizure of a pound of methamphetamine are scheduled to be arraigned in Tahoe Township Justice Court on Jan. 30.

Joseph Daniel Rasberry, 33, and Krista Marie Vincent Blanchfield, 39, have been held in Douglas County Jail since Jan. 16, when they were the subject of a traffic stop.

Rasberry was driving when the vehicle appeared to be pulled over for an issue with a taillight. A background check revealed there was a fugitive warrant out for him from Placer County.

Douglas County K-9 Blaze was brought in to sniff the vehicle and uncovered the pound of drugs, according to a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office FaceBook post.

Both face charges of trafficking and possession of burglary tools.

Vincent Blanchfield is being held on a felony probation violation out of Placer County.

Both appeared in Tahoe Township Justice Court on Tuesday with their attorneys.
