There was a pretty big Spectrum outage in Genoa last night with a message that it would be back online at 8 p.m. I resorted to the company hot spot to keep up.

With a baker’s dozen Oscar nominations “Oppenheimer” pretty much nuked much of its competition. The Friends of the Douglas County Public Library are hosting a free showing 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Minden Branch.
It looks like it’ll be Tuesday before we see any more precipitation with mostly cloudy skies sticking around until Sunday. Today the high temperature is forecast to hit 55 degrees with the wind calm picking up out of the north at 5 mph.
