A member of the planning committee for veterans events at Eastside Memorial Cemetery, Fleet Reserve Association Ladies Auxiliary Chaplain Judy Dunn was a key player in bringing the Vietnam Moving Wall back to Minden.

Dunn presented the history of the wall at the May 24 opening ceremony.

Dunn has been a member of the Sierra-Tahoe No. 137 Ladies Auxiliary for 15 years.  Her husband Bill Schmidt is a Marine.

“Over the years, Judy has been a dedicated caregiver to veterans,” according to the Auxiliary.  “She has escorted them to doctor appointments, created and mailed care packages to our troops, participated in parades carrying our American Flag.”
