Power was estimated to be restored around 9:30 a.m. Saturday to a half-dozen NV Energy customers after East Fork firefighters responded to what was reported as a pole fire.

Workers were repairing a line down up above Plymouth Drive and Highway 395 after the power went out to 871 customers around 2:30 a.m., according to nvenergy.com.

It was the second major outage in northern Douglas County in almost precisely 12 hours.

At 2:30 p.m. Friday, the power company’s website reported 1,904 customers were without power in the area.

That included the stores and businesses in Clear Creek and Carson Valley Plaza.

NVEnergy Spokeswoman Meghin Delaney said 685 of those were restored around 3:50 p.m. by switching circuits. The rest were restored within 30 minutes.

There was no report on what caused the outage.
