The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the vandalism of Circle S Western Market this week.

The vandalism attacks the market for their involvement in Douglas County Rodeo and Capital City Rodeo. The vandalism was found Wednesday morning.

“This act of vandalism is an attack on our property and a misrepresentation of the values and safety standards upheld by our rodeo events,” said Bailey Sanchez, owner of Circle S Western Market in a press release. “We adhere to strict guidelines and regulations to ensure every animal is treated with the utmost care and respect. Cowboys and cowgirls are deeply committed to their welfare, often going above and beyond to ensure they are well-fed, healthy, and happy.”

The store is closed as the damage is replaced.

“We thank our friends, community, and partners for their continued support of the Capital City Rodeo this weekend and our upcoming Douglas County Rodeo despite this disheartening act of vandalism on our property,” said Justin Schlag, owner of Circle S Western Market. “We host these events out of love for our community and our great state of Nevada. By working together, we can overcome this and emerge stronger.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Douglas County Sheriff's Office at 775-782-5126.
