Carson Valley Veterinary Hospital, which has served the community since 1955, will conduct a grand opening of its new 15,000-square-foot space in south Gardnerville 1-4 p.m. Saturday.

This new hospital features 21 exam rooms, an urgent care space, a CT scanner and radiology services, three surgical suites, an intensive care unit, chemotherapy, endoscopy, a fully equipped dentistry suite, and more.

Dr. Cameron Ross and Dr. Jim Nelson embarked on this project in 2022 breaking ground in August of that year.

“We’re thrilled to introduce advanced imaging options like CT scans, expand our surgical capabilities, and increase appointment availability,” Ross said. “This means our clients can receive comprehensive care under one roof, reducing the need for referrals and minimizing wait times.”

Saturday’s event includes a ribbon-cutting ceremony, hospital tours, food trucks, pet adoptions from DAWG, DCAS, and Pawsibilities and raffle prizes.

The veterinary hospital will leave its current location on Highway 88.
