It looks like total turnout in the Election creeped up to 32.46 percent, with 44.43 percent of active Republicans voting, according to the last results I have. County commissioners are scheduled to canvass the vote at their Thursday meeting.

I went back a couple of elections and found that the lowest turnout in the last decade was 34.5 percent in 2016. Primaries always have trouble drawing voters with the highest turnout I have on record is 58.9 percent in 1994.

Temperatures dropped to near freezing this morning, except for Minden-Tahoe Airport which recorded a 27-degree low just before 6 a.m. Fredericksburg resident Jeff Garvin said it got down to 33 degrees at his place. Highway 88 between Mottsville and Centerville recorded 32 degrees.

The high temperature today is forecast to hit 76 degrees under sunny skies with the west wind 5-10 mph in the afternoon.
