NOTICE OF HEARING ON PETITION FOR ADMINISTRATION OF ESTATE, FOR APPOINTMENT OF PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE, FOR ISSUANCE OF LETTERS OF ADMINISTRATION, FOR INDEPENDENT ADMINISTRATION
WITH FULL AUTHORITY, AND FOR
GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT:
1. Elena Benavente and Edward Simon filed a Petition for Administration of Estate, for Appointment of Personal Representative, for Issuance of Letters of Administration, for Independent Administration with Full Authority, and for General Administration (the “Petition”). A copy of the Petition and the relief requested is attached to this notice.
2. A hearing on the Petition has been scheduled for April 23, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at the courthouse of the Ninth Judicial District Court, in Douglas County, Nevada.
3. The Petition requests authority to administer the estate under the Independent Administration of Estates Act. This will avoid the need to obtain court approval for many actions taken in connection with the Estate. However, before taking certain actions, the Personal Representative will be required to give notice to interested persons unless they have waived notice or have consented to the proposed action. Independent administration authority will be granted unless good cause is shown why it should not be.
4. All persons interested in this proceeding are notified that if they have an objection to the Petition, they must file a written objection and appear and show cause why the Petition should not be granted.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO APPEAR UNLESS YOU WISH TO RAISE AN OBJECTION.
