Tiger baseball off to 7-0 start

After besting Carson at Peccole Park on Monday, Douglas has won three straight at home against South Tahoe (1-7), Wooster (2-5) and Fernley (3-4).

In the 8-5 win over South Tahoe, Jackson Ovard recorded a pair of hits while Grayson Kamper pitched four innings with four strikeouts.

Douglas beat Wooster, 7-4, thanks to a pair of RBIs from Thomas Young and Duncan DeLange. Blake Faiss struck out four in 1.2 innings of relief.

Wednesday, the Tigers took down Fernley, 12-4, behind big days from Jake Davis, Luke Main and Colt Cummins.

All three Douglas hitters drove in two RBIs apiece.

Thursday, the Tigers bested Fallon, 15-9, and Dayton, 9-1. 

In the win over the Greenwave, Young was 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles and four RBIs. 

Jackson Ovard collected a pair of hits, including a double. 

Aaron Moss and Colt Cummins both went 2-for-3 as Cummins drove in a pair of RBIs. 

Grayson Kamper was also credited with two RBIs in the win.

In their second game Thursday, Douglas downed Dayton by a 9-1 final in four innings.

Jeffrey Peters was 2-for-3 with three RBIs.

Moss and Kamper both drove in a pair of runs each. 

On the hill, Keegan Freeman allowed two hits through his four innings of work while striking out five. 

UP NEXT: Douglas (7-0) will start the league season Tuesday at Galena (3-0).
