Power was out to nearly 500 homes and businesses for nine hours on Sunday.
The outage originally affected 729 homes and businesses at around 1:30 p.m.
East Fork firefighters responded to a location near East Valley and Buckeye roads for a downed transmission line.
NV Energy Spokeswoman Meghin Delaney said 264 customers were restored by 3:30 p.m.
No cause has been reported, but Minden-Tahoe Airport reported a 30 mph wind gust around the same time.
Delaney said crews had to work around the wind and flurries that afternoon and into the evening with the other 465 not having power restored until 10:30 p.m.
