A trio of alleged shoplifters were arrested April 26 after Douglas County deputies responded to the Boot Barn in Carson Valley Plaza for a theft in progress.
Dispatchers broadcast the description of the trio fleeing the location in a white Chevrolet SUV. Deputies in the area stopped the vehicle.
Arrested were Azura Ridley, Jose Trujillo-Gutierrez, and Sol Garcia-Hernandez for suspicion of theft.
During their investigation, deputies determined Ridley, Trujillo-Gutierrez, and Garcia-Hernandez worked together to steal numerous items from inside Boot Barn and ran out of the store. Deputies recovered more than $500 in merchandise stolen from Boot Barn and approximately $1,000 in cosmetics that was unreported from other Topsy Lane stores.
The trio was booked into the Douglas County Jail for theft less than $1,200 and conspiracy to commit a crime.
All three are residents of Reno or Sparks and appeared in East Fork Justice Court on April 27 and were released on their own recognizance with a May 20 court date.
