A Johnson Lane man who is accused of trying to get a girl to send him nude photos after sending one of his genitals waived his preliminary hearing in East Fork Justice Court.
Richard Patrick Fraser, 32, faces charges of attempted use of a minor in producing pornography, luring a child and attempted sexual seduction.
Fraser was allegedly messaging a girl on social media. Douglas investigators took over the contact and arranged a meeting, where he was arrested. He has been in custody since Feb. 26.
Waiving a preliminary hearing is not an admission of guilt. Fraser is scheduled to appear for arraignment in Douglas County District Court on Monday.
• A Lake Tahoe man is scheduled to be arraigned in Douglas County District Court on May 14 after he waived a preliminary hearing where he is accused of sexual assault and robbery.
Benjamin Alexander McCammon, 29, was drinking with the woman and two men on Feb. 3 and the three men went downstairs at Harrah’s.
According to court documents, McCammon borrowed the hotel card key from one of the other men and went back up to the room and allegedly assaulted the woman.
No plea agreement was included in the district court file. McCammon could deny the charges and seek a trial.
• A man is in Douglas County custody facing charges of sexual assault.
Dilawer Singh, 21, is accused in an April 27 assault of an intoxicated woman.
He appeared in East Fork Justice Court on Wednesday and his case was delayed until May 15.
• A man sentenced to life with the possibility of parole after 10 years for admitting sex with a 13-year-old girl is in Douglas County custody on a violation.
Juan Daniel Martir, 34, was arrested at the request of Nevada Parole and Probation on April 12.
He was sentenced Jan. 3, 2011, after he was arrested the prior Oct. 20 when he was caught in the girl’s bedroom by her mother’s roommate, according to the Jan. 5, 2011, Record-Courier.
According to the Department of Corrections website, Martir was paroled July 22, 2020. Martir is listed on Nevada’s sex offenders database as living in the outskirts of Minden. His registry was last updated on Feb. 12, two months before he was taken into custody.
