Genoa, Nev. — Work is expected to resume this morning on Main Street between Waterloo Lane and 1st Street in Minden. Highway 395 will be down to one lane in spots with delays up to 10 minutes just for the construction. Your time may vary depending on traffic congestion.
Gardnerville Town Board member and Carson Valley native Mike Henningsen resigned on May 16. Town Board members will honor his service and discuss finding a new board member at their June 4 meeting.
I’ll follow up today on a water rescue 6:50 p.m. Tuesday at Marla Bay where two people reportedly fell into Lake Tahoe from a kayak. Tahoe-Douglas firefighters, including Marine 24, responded.
The Kids Fishing Derby Red Shirt Crew will be at the Lampe Park Pavilion today handing out tickets for young anglers and conducting the last volunteer training 6 p.m. in preparation for this weekend’s event. The roving ballot box is scheduled to be at Kahle Community Center 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the Gardnerville Ranchos Fire Station 3-6 p.m. today. In-person voting continues at the Douglas County Community & Senior Center and ballots may be dropped off at the Election Tent behind the Douglas County Courthouse.
