Work is underway on Minden's newest splash pad in Westwood Park.
The $481,091 project, which is funded from American Rescue Plan Act and donations was designed by Aquawork and built by Game Time.
The splash pad in Minden Park has been a popular item since it opened in 2019.
“This one is much bigger than the one in Minden Park,” Town Manager JD Frisby said. “There was a huge push for something with above ground features and so kids can have a little more fun.”
A splash pad is a concrete water feature with a variety of nozzles that spray water and has been a popular item in the older Minden park.
Westwood Park is located behind the Ironwood Center.
