Genoa, Nev. — Voters can drop off their mailed ballots in person 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the historic Douglas County Courthouse in Minden or drop them in the mail, if they’re feeling lucky. On Election Day, all open polling places and the courthouse will accept the ballots voters received in the polls.
Polls open at 7 a.m. Tuesday and will remain open until 7 p.m. You can vote at any of the five county polling places, including the Douglas County, Kahle, Topaz Ranch Estates, Dresslerville community centers and the Indian Hills GID offices.
Humboldt County added 68 votes to their total count for the highest turnout in the state so far at 64.6 percent, pulling ahead of Douglas’ 63.8 percent, which didn’t report adding any ballots over the weekend.
Just over half the 2 million active registered voters in Nevada have cast a ballot so far in the election, with a statewide turnout of 52.5 percent as of 6 p.m. Sunday.
Two people were transported for medical treatment 5 p.m. Sunday from a reported five-vehicle collision in the northbound lanes of Highway 395 near Topsy Lane.
