ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
1. Separate sealed bids will be received by the Douglas County
Community Services care of Douglas Community Services
Deputy Director, Minden, Nevada, for the work as set forth in the
Bid Documents for the Animal Services Emergency Generator
Project. The bids shall be received on or before 2:00 pm on
Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the Parks Office, 1323 Waterloo
Lane, Gardnerville, NV 89410. Bids will be subsequently opened
and read aloud at 2:01 pm at the Parks Office, 1323 Waterloo
Lane, Gardnerville, NV 89410. The apparent successful low bidder
will be announced at the bid opening on December 20, 2024. It is
anticipated that Douglas County Board of Commissioners will
consider award of the contract on January 2, 2025.
2. The scheduled work for the project consists of installation of an
emergency generator. The Architects estimate for this
work is $210,000.00.
3. No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by a bid
security in the form of a Certified or Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond,
in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid.
4. Bid Documents may be found online at www.douglascountynv.gov
under the Bid Posting and RFP’s tab.
5. Bid Documents will be available starting November 6, 2024.
6. The minimum licensing requirements is set forth by the Nevada
State Contractors Board and contractor shall be capable of being
bonded for this project. Contractors may register their intent
to submit a bid by sending an email to Ryan Stanton rstanton@
douglasnn.us (SUBJECT LINE Animal Services Emergency
Generator Project). The Registration as a digital subscriber is
necessary to receive notifications via email to the project
from the Owners website where all documents and addenda will be
posted.

8. The Prevailing Wage Rate as established by the State Labor
Commission shall be paid on projects with a contract price of
$100,000 or more. The PWP Number DO 2025-021
9. NRS 338.147 provides for a 5 percent bidder preference to bidders
who qualify for the preference. The requirements for the preference
are detailed in the contract documents.
10. A pre-bid conference will be held on November 20, 2024, at 10:00
am at the project site located at 921 Dump Road, Gardnerville,
NV 89410. Bidders are encouraged to attend and participate in the
conference, but it is not mandatory.
