Genoa, Nev. — After Friday’s canvass, it appears that the Secretary of State’s Office at www.nvsos.gov/votersearch has changed the mailed ballot status from ballot received to ballot counted. Don’t be shy about checking that thing and reaching out to the clerk if that’s not the case for you.
The only road controls in effect this morning are through the high Sierra with Mount Rose the only spot in Western Nevada, though the nvroads.com traffic cameras there show quite a bit of snow on the road.
The California Highway Patrol reports road controls start at Picketts Junction for both highways 88 and 89 and truck screening over Interstate 80 at Applegate and Mogul.
Slick roads were blamed for a crash reported 12:47 p.m. Saturday on Jerry Drive at Zephyr Cove, according to Tahoe Douglas firefighters. No one was hurt, but it sounded like a mess on the scanner.
Heavenly reports 10 inches of snow over the past week this morning, which includes the last storm. Down in the Valley rain totals since Friday morning were around .12 inches in Genoa with less in the Valley.
