Genoa, Nev. — Proficiency scores and chronic absenteeism are on the agenda at today’s Douglas County School Board meeting at Whittell High School in Zephyr Cove. The Whittell Boosters added a question mark to the 4-10 p.m. time in Monday’s Weekly Warrior.
Whittell High School achieved a five-star status with one of the highest ratings for a regular high school in the state. According to information released in mid-September by the Nevada Department of Education, the school achieved a total index score of 90.
Douglas High rated four stars with a total index score of 78.5. Douglas High ranks ninth in the state among traditional schools, and was tied with McQueen.
