A Minden teenager is in stable condition after Douglas County deputies responded about 7 p.m. Sunday to a report of someone on fire.
The first deputies arrived to find a juvenile male, who had suffered burns over most of his body.
East Fork Firefighters arrived on scene and transported the victim to Carson Valley Health.
He was later flown to Shriners Pediatric Burn Center in Sacramento for treatment.
“I would like to thank my deputies and East Fork Fire for their quick response, which helped the victim get the lifesaving treatment needed to survive,” Sheriff Dan Coverley said.
