September was a rough month for the Stateline casinos, which were down 18.84 percent compared to 2023. The main source of Douglas gaming revenue reported a win of $21.38 million. That took the casinos into negative territory for the first quarter of the fiscal year.

Fredericksburg resident Jeff Garvin reported his place received a third of an inch of precipitation overnight. The Heavenly snow telemetry site recorded an inch of snow at 8,533 feet.
