Banners announcing the fourth annual Douglas County Rodeo bear a simple message.
“Saddle Up Douglas County! The rodeo is in town.”
On Friday and Saturday, #douglascountyrodeo will be at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
“We’re thrilled to bring the Douglas County Rodeo back with such an exciting lineup of events and entertainment in support of not just one, but two nonprofit organizations.” Said rodeo co-owner Bailey Sanchez. “The community aspect has always played a huge role as to why we put on DCR every year. We believe in giving back to the community that continues to show up and support us the same way we do.”
This year’s rodeo will benefit Partnership Douglas County and the Community Services Foundation, which raises money for Douglas County’s community and senior centers.
“It’s not just about the competitions; it’s about the community, entertainment, and celebrating the love for rodeos. All while supporting two great causes,” said said co-owner Justin Schlag. “It’s becoming a great tradition that brings people together from all walks of life.”
But there are competitions, including barrel racing, breakaway, team roping, ranch bronc, bull riding and mutton busting, featuring trophies, buckles and cash prizes.
Local vendor pop ups, food trucks, a tattoo convention, and live music from Jerrod Niemann and Eric Paslay to end your evening. There will also be bounce houses and activities during the day for the entire family.
Tickets for the Douglas County Rodeo are available now and can be purchased online at douglascountynvrodeo.com/tickets or at the Douglas County Fairgrounds box office.
