Genoa, Nev. — The last Esmeralda Farmers Market of the season is 4-8 p.m. today in downtown Minden. The season’s last Just A Drop In Farmers Market at Heritage Park is 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday.


Douglas County Public Library trustees will talk about their five-year strategic plan at their meeting 10 a.m. today at the Minden Branch, 1625 Library Lane.


Parks & Recreation advisors will hear a presentation on a cultural and performing arts feasibility study and discuss selecting an ADA-all inclusive playground location at their 6 p.m. meeting at the Douglas County Community & Senior Center in Gardnerville.

It’s taking a spell for autumn to fall into place with high temperatures running 4-8 degrees above average. Today’s high is forecast to hit 87 degrees under mostly sunny skies. A light southeasterly breeze of around 5 mph will calm this afternoon.
